The South Lafourche Athletic Department fields 22 teams through out the school year with nearly 450 students participate in our sports programs.

Mission Statement:

SLHS Athletic Department provides student-athletes with a rich co-curricular program that encourages our students to grow as individuals and leaders by experiencing the importance of being part of a team. SLHS Athletic Department fosters commitment and loyalty to teamwork, pride, leadership, and fair play.

Vision Statement: 

• By utilizing highly qualified coaches, dedicated support staff and administrative personnel to provide a stimulating student-centered environment, multi-disciplinary skills will be developed through practice, competition, and collaborative team efforts. As a result, SLHS will: 

  • Provide an athletic program that is a source of pride and is a connective rallying point for the student body, faculty and staff, alumni, local and regional community, future students, and diverse educational partners.

  • Field athletic teams which consistently perform successfully in district and state competitions.
